The federal and provincial governments are providing funding towards the renovation of a Thorold landmark.
Together with the City of Thorold, $668,415 is being put towards the renovation of the Battle of Beaverdams Park.
The project involves constructing a new park entranceway, asphalt walking trails, upgrading of the bandshell and the creation of a central plaza to house historical artifacts in the park.
Other changes being made include an accessible playground and drainage and landscaping improvements.
These improvements will increase accessibility for visitors while enhancing the park's historic and cultural experience.
