A construction company out of Mississauga has been awarded a contract to start building the Grimsby GO station.
The Ontario government made the announcement today, expecting Kenaidan Murphy Joint Venture to be done work in the 2nd half of next year.
Preparation for construction began earllier this year, right now there's site grading, followed by platform foundation.
While no dollar figure was given for today's announcement, the government says over $15-billion is being spent on GO expansion, including Confederation station in Hamilton.
