CEOs of Loblaws, Metro and Empire to answer questions about rising food prices
A House of Commons committee will hear from the CEOs of the country's largest grocery chains this evening.
The presidents and CEOs of Loblaws, Metro and Empire will testify about rising food prices.
The committee is looking into the issue of food inflation.
In January, food prices up 11 percent compared to a year earlier.
This is about twice the amount of overall inflation, which was just under six percent that month.
