The Public Health Agency of Canada clarifying rules for Canadians who travel to the U.S. to get vaccinated
In a statement, the agency says those travellers will still have to quarantine when they return to Canada.
A spokesman says while there is an essential medical services exemption that allows Canadians to bypass quarantine rules, it was not intended for use by those who head stateside to get a vaccine.
It is a provision in place for Canadians seeking life saving medical treatment outside of the country
The health agency also notes "COVID-19 vaccines are widely available in Canada."
