CANADA - Canadian kids between the ages of six months old and five years old will soon be able to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Health Canada has approved the pediatric vaccine for kids in that age range, expanding eligibility to nearly two million children. The health regulator is still reviewing Pfizer's pediatric vaccine for kids between the ages of six months and five years.
Moderna's pediatric dose is one-quarter the size of its adult vaccine and the second dose will have to be administered about four weeks later.
The availability of Moderna's pediatric vaccine will be determined by the provinces.
