We’re in the midst of a heat wave in Niagara.
Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the Region with temperatures up to 34 or 93 in the forecast for today and tomorrow.
But it’s going to feel even warmer with the humidity.
It should feel closer to the mid-thirties or mid-nineties today and closer to the 40s or 100 tomorrow.
The temperature should drop to the low 20s or 70s tonight and a cold front should cool things off tomorrow tonight.
The City of Niagara Falls has opened two indoor cooling centres; one at the Gale Centre and another at the public library on Victoria Ave.
They will both be open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. today and tomorrow, but you should not use the facilities if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
