The latest donation means part of the hospital will be named after Desjardins
Another large donation to the Niagara Health Foundation to keep construction of the South Niagara Hospital moving.
The Foundation says Desjardins Ontario Credit Union is handing $500,000 over to the "It's Our Future" campaign.
In recognition of this, one of the complex care terraces, that provides space for families and patients, will be named in honour of Desjardins.
The Foundation adds just two years after construction began, over 70% of the concrete structure is poured, mechanical and electrical work is being done on the lower floors, and work is underway on 10 of the building's 12 floors.
