Damage is extensive after a house fire in St. Catharines.
Crews were called to the home on Marlene Street yesterday afternoon.
Officials believe the fire started in the garage, before spreading to other areas in the home.
The fire sent plumes of heavy black smoke into the air.
Several fire stations worked to put out the blaze.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
