Police say hundreds of drivers were pulled over, and 8-arrested, during a weeklong back to school traffic safety blitz across the region.
It was the goal of the NRP's Project Safe Start to be at every school at various times last week, which resulted in so many traffic stops.
188 tickets were given, 49 court summons for Highway Traffic Act violations, and 152 warnings.
Police add one driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant, and 7 for controled drug violations.
