An inquest looking into why a man died in hospital, after being transferred from Niagara Detention Centre, beings later this month.
Regional Supervising Coroner Dr. Karen Schiff says it starts September 28th for the death of Tyson Demers.
He was 26-years old when he died in October of 2022, an inquest into his death is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
It'll last about 6-days, hear from five witnesses, and possibly make recommendations in order to prevent other deaths.
