Suspicious package found near terminal
A temporary shutdown of Billy Bishop airport on Toronto Island over the weekend.
It started when a suspicious package was found on a bike near the terminal Saturday afternoon.
Initial tests found it to be possibly explosive, but it was soon detonated in a controlled manner.
Police released two people of interest, but no charges laid, adding they're confident it was an isolated occurrence and no danger to the public.
The airport closed its runway and some nearby buildings were evacuated, but everything was returned to normal later that night.
