Niagara Regional Police have arrested a Lincoln man in connection to a historic sexual assault.
The investigation, which commenced in August 2020, determined that between 1987-1991, a male and female under the age of 16 were reportedly sexually assaulted in Lincoln.
Officers arrested 67 year old Peter Vanderplaat yesterday.
He has been charged with Sexual Assault, Gross Indecency, Sexual Interference and Indecent Act.
Vanderplaat was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
