Josh Gomer, Personal Training Specialist at Goodlife Fitness in St. Catharines, says you can enjoy your favourite holiday treats in moderation.
He says that you can still meet your goals with the occasional treat.
"We can very easily fit those foods into our diet without going over our calorie goal for the day."
He says that people tend to fall into the pitfall of thinking their diet is ruined for the day if they enjoy a little bit of food with higher calories.
Gomer also says that if you do have a little bit of junk food, you can make up for it by vowing to move a little bit more or having a smaller meal later in the day.
