Morningstar Mill, St. Catharines Farmers Market and more offering long weekend fun
If you're looking for something to do this long weekend, there are lots of options.
In St. Catharines, the Lakeside Park Carousel will be open all weekend, and it costs five cents a ride.
The Morningstar Mill will also be open this weekend, with tours of the grist mill and Morningstar home available by donation.
On Saturday, the St. Catharines Farmer's Market will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
If you like movies, the Film House at FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre will show a variety of films, including "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" on Friday, August 4th.
Meanwhile, in Pelham, day camps and the Meridian Community Centre will be open.
If you like to go swimming, the Thorold Community Pool will be open on Monday.
There are also a few closures throughout the region.
In Thorold, City Hall, the Thorold Public Library and City administrative offices will be closed on Monday.
In Pelham, municipal offices will be closed.
In St. Catharines, City Hall, arenas (excluding the Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre), the Port Weller Community Centre, Russell Avenue Community Centre and the Meridian Community Centre will be closed.
