Police worked with security groups last week
Police have tracked down some cases of shopliftiing in the Clifton Hill area to a St. Catharines man.
Last week, the NRP collaborated with the Niagara Clifton Group Security and Clifton Hill Security Patrol, to put a stop to thefts in certain tourist areas.
During this time, police made an arrest, finding just over $700 in stolen merchandise, which was returned is saleable condition.
Police have charged 24-year old Hayden Orcutt with theft under $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
He was released from custody with a future court date.
