Police say this dates back to 2008, covering 10-year period
A St. Catharines man has been charged with human trafficking related offences, dating back to 2008.
Police began an investigation last year, looking into allegations in Niagara for offences that happened over a 10-year period.
Earlier today, police arrested the delivery driver of a local company, 56-year old Stephen Caron, charged with:
- Trafficking in Persons
- Material Benefit
- Sexual Assault (4 counts)
- Assault with a Weapon
- Assault
- Uttering Threats
Police say he's in custody, and appears in court today.
Police also believe there are more witnesses and urge them to call police.
