Police say he pinned a woman against a wall in Niagara Falls, he faces weapon charges
A man has been arrested after a fight with a woman in Niagara Falls this morning.
Police got the call at around 8, arriving in the Stanley Avenue and North Street area, learning the altercation led to him pinning her against a wall, throwing her phone, and pushing her to the ground.
She was treated for minor injuries.
Police believed the suspect could have weapons in a house, he left the house and surrendered.
Using a search warrant, police say they found a hunting rifle.
They've charged 23-year old Desmond Macmorine of Niagara Falls:
- Firearm: Unauthorized Possession
- Fail to comply with undertaking
- Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device
He remained in police custody, pending a bail hearing today in St. Catharines.
