Charges have been laid after an armed robbery at Seaway Mall.
Police say a man entered Peoples Jewellers Monday afternoon, and asked if he could try on jewelry.
He pulled out a handgun afterwards, and took off with the jewelry.
He was driving a silver Ford Taurus, which was later found at a hotel on Lundy’s Lane in Niagara Falls.
That’s where officers arrested a 27-year-old man from Port Colborne.
He has been charged with robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon contrary to a weapons prohibition order, failing to comply with recognizance of bail and failing to comply with probation.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident should contact Niagara Regional Police by calling 519-688-4111 with extension 3300.
