Police say an argument led to the suspect arming himself with gun, turns out that gun was a replica
Police getting a disturbance in a Welland apartment building under control.
They were called yesterday at around the noon hour to Ontario Road, between Southworth Road and Wright Street, concerning a man with a gun.
They say there was a verbal argument, that escalated to the point the suspect armed himself.
Police negotiated with the man who was help up in the room, an hour later he surrendered, and police found the gun to be a replica.
Police charged 21-year old Alexander Lampman of Welland with possession of a weapon, uttering threats, and assault with a weapon.
He had a bail hearing today.
