The NRP is on the lookout for a 46-year-old man, wanted for fraud over $5,000 and failing to appear in court.
Officers believe Jerry Connors may have been a part of a large group going door-to-door, offering driveway contracting services.
He may be driving a white Dodge Ram pickup and could have British or an Irish accent.
The NRP had received several reports from homeowners, who had hired a door-to-door contractor to pave or resurface their driveway.
They say the contractor would take a large cash down payment, start the project and leave after receiving the last payment.
The work is usually poorly done or incomplete and the homeowner never hears from the contractor again.
Anyone with information should contact Niagara Regional Police by calling 905- 688-4111, dial option 3 and use badge number 9004.
