Mandatory masks for indoor public spaces will be up for debate in two Niagara cities.
On Monday, there's a special council meeting in St. Catharines on the issue.
Mayor Walter Sendzik is pushing for the bylaw and says many local businesses are already doing it.
Meanwhile, Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati doesn't want to make masks mandatory, saying it would be hard to enforce.
Niagara Falls City Council is expected to discussion the issue on July 14th.
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates is taking to social media, saying at the very least masks should be mandatory in St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Gates says these area get a lot of out of town visitors and masks are shown to dramatically slow the spread of the virus.
