Rose City Travel owner says the last few years have been the best on record
As we move through March break, a Welland based travel agent says this year, and last, have been the best years for bookings she's ever seen.
Leanna Villella owns Rose City Travel, and feels people want to get back to it, having not travelled much over the last few years, especially with COVID.
She adds many plan well in advance. "They work hard all year long, they slug it out, they pay their taxes, they do everything the right way, and the only thing that's really important to them, they look forward to taking that one week, or two week, or three week holiday."
She says business is even better now than before the pandemic.
She points to benefits of months long planning, to make it easier. "You might have paid $250, to go out east. But, the guy sitting next to you, on the same flight, that booked maybe a month prior, is paying maybe $600."
She adds many people make sacrifices in order to get away.
