Facebook Photo Memorial also set up to honour Paul Pender
A memorial service will be held today for a popular Niagara winemaker whose life came to a tragic end earlier this month.
The service for Paul Pender is scheduled for 2:00 this afternoon, but due to pandemic restrictions it is by invite only.
His family has set up the Paul Pender Photo Memorial, on Facebook where people are invited to share photos and memories.
Pender, the winemaker at Tawse Winery, was killed at his cottage in Selkirk earlier this month.
While the OPP have not released any details other than to say the 31 year old Hamilton man accused in Pender’s death was a complete stranger, his obituary says “ He was someone who always offered a helping hand. In his last moments, Paul was doing just that – being a good Samaritan, and it is unjust that this led to his death. Allison (Findlay), the love of his life, was at his side on this fateful night. “
