Niagara-on-the-Lake Lord Mayor Betty Disero says everything is under control and there is no need for alarm.
She issued a statement on the town’s YouTube channel earlier today in regards to migrant workers coming to work for local farms.
Disero says the workers will be isolated and groceries will be delivered to the farms.
The workers will not be allowed into the community during the isolation period.
Disero says local farmers have been working with all levels of government and they’re going to take all action necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
