NRP say a number of trucks taken off the road for safety concerns
Police are continuing to address resident concerns of transport trucks by-passing the Vineland truck scale on the QEW.
Last Wednesday, the NRP, along with Halton and Hamilton police, the OPP and Ministry of Transportation focused on vehicles in and around the Town of Lincoln.
Police say 35 trucks were inspected, resulting in 14 taken off the road for significant safety concerns, such as the standard brake adjustments and insecure loads.
Two sets of licence plates were also taken, and a total of 22 charges laid.
Some of those charges were failure to do daily trip inspections and registration.
