Wayne Gates says the Ontario government shouldn't be picking out new Regional Chair, after the death of Jim Bradley
Accusations from Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates the government is again interfering with picking a new Niagara Regional chair, after the death of Jim Bradley.
He says it happened in 2018, saying Premier Ford cancelled the election of a regional chair.
He accused Ford of picking failed candidates for positions, regardless of qualifications. "Meanwhile, housing targets are not being met. Local infrastructure in struggling, front line services suffer. Speaker, it's time to end this meddling, Niagara does not belong to Premier Doug Ford."
The government says it'll appoint a Regional Chair for the remainder of the current term.
