Wayne Gates trying to help find Burd Sisler a placement in a Fort Erie long term care home
During question period at Queens Park, the NDP MPP telling the Ford government if anyone deserves a placement in a long term care home its 106 year old Burd Sisler.
Gates noting the centenarian “was there for us in the Second World War, like a lot of veterans he answered the call and fought for his country. He’s been a lifelong resident of Fort Erie, and his contributions to his community are many. The Ford government must make sure Burd and his family can get the extra support he requires and help him finally secure a long-term care bed in Fort Erie.”
Gates adding “Seniors in Niagara who need the support of a long-term care home should be able to quickly find one in their own community.”
