Wayne Gates is wondering where $35-million is, which will help Fort Erie
Niagara Falls NDP MPP Wayne Gates pressing the government on why a $35-million horse racing funding agreement has been delayed.
He says the Fort Erie race track depends on this. "Why is the Premier allowing Woodbine Entertainment Group to delay the government from delivering these urgently needed resources."
Minister of Tourism Stan Cho said they have a plan to support the industry and Fort Erie. "There is an offer on the table with Ontario Racing that is being looked over now, we hope to have a deal done soon, and as soon as we have that information, we will be sharing it with the House."
Wayne Gates says delays from Woodbine Entertainment and Ontario Lottery Corporation are putting jobs at risk.
