A lot of people would like some sort of Neil Peart memorial in Lakeside Park.
The late drummer for Rush passed away last week, after a battle with brain cancer. He was 67-years-old.
Peart grew up in Port Dalhousie and even wrote a song about the local park.
More than 20,000 people have signed an online petition calling for a statue of Peart in the park.
A GoFundMe page is also up and running, looking to raise $10,000 for a memorial.
This certainly got Mayor Walter Sendzik's attention.
He introduced a notice of motion during Monday night's council meeting, to name the new Lakeside Park pavilion after Peart.
The city has launched an online consultation about it on EngageSTC.
