In person interviews to start up again November 29th
The Canada Border Services Agency sending out notices to NEXUS and FAST holders that in person interviews will resume at the end of the month at U.S. enrolment centres.
The CBSA says applicants wishing to schedule interviews can now do so at their nearest enrolment centre through the Trusted Traveller Programs system.
The agency adds NEXUS and FAST members who renew their membership before the expiry date on their card will retain membership privileges until they can complete their interview.
This comes as sources say the federal government is planning to announce it will be lifting the PCR test requirement for fully vaccinated travellers returning to Canada after short trips of 72 hours or less.
Prime Minister Trudeau told reporters yesterday evening an announcement is coming soon.
