During a recent visit to Thorold council, Bob Gale revealed he's not happy with how money is spent
Could we be getting a hint as to how Niagara's new Regional Chair is approaching the job...
During a stop in Thorold last week, Councillor Mike De Divitis told Bob Gale he hopes he brings his successful business sense the regional chair.
Gale said some answers he gives may not be what people like. "I'm not talking about governance, I'm talking about budgeting with the Niagara Region. We have to watch our dollars on there, I'm not proud of what we've done over the last many years. But now I'm the Chair of the Board, and I speak for them."
Councillor Nella Dekker noted it's good he's making himself visible, and finding out what each area needs.
"And then when we ask you for money, you'll know why, because you've visited all these places. It's really nice to meet you, and I wish you success."
He's making his rounds to Niagara municipalities.
