Public health asking parents not to bring young children to vaccination clinics just yet.
Niagara Region Public Health is asking parents not to look for child-sized doses at COVID-19 vaccination clinics.
Health Canada approved child-sized doses of the Pfizer vaccine earlier today for kids aged 5-11.
However, supply is not yet available in Canada.
Public Health says doses are expected to arrive in Niagara by the end of the month, and once that happens, child-friendly clinics will be held.
Officials also say more details will be released in the coming days as to exactly when the vaccine will arrive in Niagara.
Parents who have questions about the child-sized doses can register for a Public Health Town Hall, which will take place the Tuesday from 7-8 p.m.
