The city approved rezoning for Garner Road building, on outskirts of city
Unanimous support by the City of Niagara Falls for a new 6-storey apartment building on Garner Road.
City planner Chris Roome says it'll be just south of Lundy's Lane, and cornering Angie Drive.
He adds it's supported by provincial, regional and city policy, and it received city support for rezoning.
He says they've addressed community concern of drainage. "The site is located away from these drainage concerns, and will not contribute to the existing conditions. Storm water from the area will be conveyed to the existing storm water management facility which is located south of the property, which is expected to have adequate capacity for this development."
A city report shows each of the 57 units ranging in price, topping $600,000.
