Ken Todd will be sticking around Niagara Falls City Hall for one more year.
City Council decided to extend his contract until the end of June 2021 during a closed session meeting on Tuesday.
The Niagara Falls Review says council also directed staff to implement a recruiting process for a new CAO because Todd is planning to retire next year.
The 64-year-old has dedicated more than 10 years of his life working for the city.
