Niagara Falls will light up tonight, to mark Canada's first gold medal in the 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
Snowboarder Max Parrot claimed Olympic gold in the men's snowboard slopestyle, after snagging silver in the same event in 2018.
In December 2018, the Olympic champion was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, and after 12 rounds of chemotherapy, announced he was cancer-free in July 2019.
The illumination will kickoff tonight at 8:00 p.m.
Currently, Canada has one gold, one silver and four bronze medals.
