Niagara Falls MP Tony Baldinelli is thanking Andrew Scheer, for supporting him during his election campaign.
He had nothing but good things to say about Scheer, one-day after the Conservative Leader announced his plans to resign.
"Andrew is just a tremendous human being. His commitment to the Conservative Party is only surpassed for his love and devotion for his family and he made this decision based on his family. He is just a tremendous guy."
Baldinelli thinks the future of the party will be very interesting.
"We were planning to have a policy convention in April. It would have done a review on the leader, but now it's going to be a full leadership contest. I'm not sure if they're going to delay it, maybe move it to the summer or keep it where it is. But it will be interesting to see the candidates that come forward."
He says going to wait and see who steps up in the leadership race, before backing a specific candidate.
