Niagara Health has announced new restrictions for site visitors.
Starting on Thursday, In order to limit traffic during the pandemic, hospital visitations will be limited to those who have been designated as an Essential Care Partner for a patient, or are supporting a patient in exceptional circumstances.
Exceptional circumstances include patients who are at end of life stages, experiencing life altering circumstances, going through a mental health crisis, or are vulnerable.
Patients will be allowed to have up to two Essential Care Partners to provide emotional or physical care.
Niagara Health says that strict enforcement of these guidelines will take place, and those who don't follow the rules will be asked to leave.
