Some positive news for Niagara Health.
The hospital is planning to reintroduce inpatient non-urgent surgeries and procedures.
By the end of next week, Niagara Health says it should be at 70 percent capacity with surgical procedures.
The ICU capacity is stabilizing, enabling the surgical program to ram up services postponed due to the pandemic.
Currently, the Level 3 ICU capacity is at 107 percent.
There are 25 COVID-19 patients within Niagara Health, which is the lowest amount since April 8th.
Essential Care Partners and support personnel are welcomed, but visitor restrictions will remain in place for the time being.
