Niagara Health postponing some non-emergency surgeries for ear, nose and throat patients for two weeks.
Niagara Health is postponing some pediatric surgeries over the next couple of weeks.
The hospital says it's facing a lot of pressure on pediatric capacity, due to a big spike in respiratory illnesses.
In order to provide more assistance for emergency cases, some ear, nose and throat surgeries for kids are being postponed or moved to a different site.
This includes surgeries scheduled for the St. Catharines site between November 21st and December 2nd.
The procedures will either be moved to the Niagara Falls location or rescheduled.
Niagara Health says this will not impact emergency care for children.
Families impacted will be contacted.
