Niagara Health has entered into a temporary management support contract with Oakwood Park Lodge.
The long-term care home in Niagara Falls has been battling a COVID-19 outbreak since December 12th.
Ninety-seven residents have contracted the virus and eight of them have died.
Ninety-one staff members have tested positive as well.
Niagara's Acting Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Mustafa Hirji, has also issued an order under Section 29.2 of the Health Protection and Promotion Act in response to the outbreak and he's waiting to hear back from the Ministry of Long-Term Care.
