Niagara's municipalities are teaming up to get residents outside!
As COVID-19 restrictions begin to lift, 11 municipalities are joining with the Niagara Parks Commission to host a region-wide scavenger hunt.
The Reconnect to Rediscover Niagara online scavenger hunt will take place from noon on August 27th to September 6th at midnight.
Niagara residents can participate on the GooseChase app.
Participants will be able to complete missions by taking pictures or videos at attractions across Niagara.
"It adds a bit of fun, friendly competition while inviting residents to get out and enjoy all Niagara has to offer. We’ve all been trying to stay home as much as possible, but as restrictions slowly lift, we want our residents to reconnect with their neighbouring communities and truly enjoy all of Niagara," said St. Catharines community and events coordinator Andrea Connelly-Miele.
Over 20 missions are planned, and areas participants will explore include the Friendship Trail in Port Colborne.
Point leaders will have a chance to win gift cards to local businesses, and the most creative family or team entry will get a one night stay at Great Wolf Lodge.
To enter, download the free GooseChase app via the Apple Apps or Google Play store, and search for game code XD4MKQ to find Reconnect to Rediscover Niagara.
