Niagara Centre MPP Jeff Burch says he received an urgent email, pointing to scarce medical supplies
A letter expressing urgent action needed on health care has been sent to Ontario's Health Minister by Niagara Centre MPP Jeff Burch.
In the letter Burch states he received an email from a nurse in Niagara, pleading for help.
The nurse, who chose to remain anonymous, says she and her colleagues in nursing care and retirement homes scramble to find supplies, in some cases using towels to wrap patients' wounds instead of proper supplies.
The letter states Ontario Health at Home switched to Bayshore for medical supplies, and both those organizations say they're working to resolve the problem.
However, Jeff Burch says since those claims were made, the nurse tells him nothing has changed.
