Police say fraud is one of the fastest growing crimes, and encourage you to talk to family, friends, especially those most vulnerable
Niagara regional police are offering more help to fight fraud.
The service has created a fraud victim checklist, as a way to make sure you have not been a victim of fraud, in case you're not sure.
It's on the police website, with the first on the list ensuring you protect your personal information, never giving it to someone you don't know, especially on-line.
Also, monitor bank and credit card activity, and, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is a scam.
Niagara police add fraud is one of the fastest growing crimes, and encourage you to talk to family and friends, especially concerning those more vulnerable.
