Bob Gale proposing plan to give eligible taxpayers $240 back
The Niagara Falls councillor will present a motion at tonight's meeting asking for council to agree to direct staff to give every household that makes less than $160,000 a year, a $240 return.
The councillor tells the Standard, people are suffering and the cost of living is through the roof .
The region’s 2022 budget contains a 2.87 per cent tax increase.
Gale is running in the June election for the Conservative Party in the riding of Niagara Falls.
