The Region is re-installing bike bollards on parts of Martindale Road as part of a pilot project
The Niagara Region is looking to improve safety for cyclists.
Bike bollards will be reinstalled today along Martindale Road in St. Catharines, as part of an ongoing pilot project.
The installation will take place between Elderwood Drive and Grapeview Drive.
The project will also be extended from Erion Drive to South Service Road.
In July, bollards will also be installed from the QEW North Ramp to Main Street.
Residents and drivers can expect minor disruptions.
Bicycle bollards are used to slow down traffic and create a visual barrier separating cyclists from cars.
Feedback on the project can be provided here.
