April marks Dig Safe Month
The Niagara Region is encouraging residents to think twice about underground utilities.
Earlier today, the region's Water and Wastewater staff raised the "Dig Safe" flag outside its headquarters.
April is Dig Safe Month, and it's designed to coincide with the start of the spring season.
Contractors and homeowners are being reminded that they need to understand where underground utilities are before they start on projects requiring them to dig.
The Niagara Region advises you to contact Ontario One Call at 1-800-400-2255 before you start digging.
