Niagara Public Health is confirming 42 new cases of COVID-19 today.
The death toll remains at 374.
Ten people with the virus have been admitted into local hospitals.
There are now 7 confirmed cases of the variant first discovered in the UK, and an additional 224 cases are being investigated after variants were detected.
Throughout the region, there are 19 active outbreaks and 349 active cases.
St. Catharines has 77 active cases, followed by 72 in Niagara Falls and 62 in Welland.
Ontario is reporting 1546 new cases and nine deaths today.
Toronto has 465 new cases, Peel has 329 and York Region has 161.
Province-wide, over 1.6 million vaccine doses have been administered.
