Niagara Region Public Health is reporting 492 new COVID-19 cases today.
The area's death toll remains at 447.
Niagara Health confirms 88 patients with the virus, 62 of which are fully vaccinated.
Four of the eight ICU patients are unvaccinated.
Throughout Niagara, there are 4,405 active cases, including 1,263 in St. Catharines, 893 in Niagara Falls and 413 in Grimsby.
There are also 28 active outbreaks.
To date, more than 865,000 vaccinations have been administered in Niagara.
About 84.9 percent of residents five and older have one shot and 79.9 percent have a full series.
