The number of COVID-19 cases in Niagara shot up over the weekend.
Public Health reported 53 new cases including 17 yesterday and 36 on Saturday alone.
We currently have 205 active cases with most of them in Fort Erie.
Fifteen active outbreaks remain in effect and five of them are in healthcare facilities.
Three people are currently being treated for the virus in our local Niagara Health hospitals.
No new deaths have been reported, so our death toll remains at 81.
