Sam Oosterhoff says expanded GO service is key to local economic development
The Niagara West MPP says Metrolinx, which runs GO Transit, has completed an Initial Business Case in partnership with the Niagara Region, the town of Lincoln and a third party partner to build the GO Station.
The MPP says its the first step in the planning process.
Ontario's Infrastructure Minister Kinga Suma adding "As we continue to address rapid growth in Niagara, our government is committed to providing Ontarians with faster, more accessible transit."
Oosterhoff adding "Expanded rail service in our region is key to local economic development and smart regional planning as more and more people call Niagara home. A Beamsville GO Station would greatly compliment the proposed Grimsby station and existing St. Catharines station."
